Single Review: Janet Jackson and Missy Elliot torch dance floors on “Burnitup!” – CedricCed

Janet Jackson selects firestarter, Missy Elliot, for the follow-up to successful smash hit “No Sleep” which featured talented rising hip-hop artist, J.Cole, who worked with both artists mutually, first, working with Elliot on 2012’s “Nobody’s Perfect.” “Burnitup!” is the second promotional single from album ‘Unbreakable’  that is burning with a musical sensation. Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis alongside Dem Jointz become entirely thrilling with a timeless production advantage of the funky house meets new age electric. Even further, someone needs to hire this team for contemporary pop records to refresh the dull and annoying playlist on Top 40 radio. Nevertheless, Elliot is having a “Kittie Katt Meow Meow Meow” fierce time of fun on the track.

After a well-deserved time to break from the music game, Jackson is immaculately invigorating radio by invading with primordial material too good to ignore from any radio format. Even more, Jackson confirms with a dauntless voice,”I am never gon’, gonna go nowhere / Quick to brag n—-, know I been right here / Lately, I’ve been on, on a mission yeah / That I may never get another move,” yeah, tonight, the club is going to burn down to the ground. In a propitious feeling, she sings, furiously; “Ain’t no sittin’ down, gotta keep it up / me and Missy got the whole room jumpin’ up (that’s right).” Not to mention, only the most catchy chorus of the year, “I’ma dance all night and I don’t care who’s out there watching us / Just give me that fire and I’m gonna show you how to burn it up.” Jackson’s vocal is awesome also, satisfying favorably by running dynamically regulating the production, which leads the dance song into one of her best, ever.

Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the same producers on “NoSleeep,” compound supreme house pop masterfully alongside a bass thumping beat. Janet Jackson’s, previous number one hit single also comes from same producers. Seeing that, it looks like Jackson is on the track to a massive commercial exhilaration takeover. With this in mind, hopefully, this song demands a continuation of the upward momentum for album, ‘Unbreakable.’

In closing, Janet and Missy both give deliberate conviction on shared effort “BurnitUp” that is entertaining and most especially contemporary brazen for Dj’s to spin at clubs and rhythmic stations, alike. It is a reliable coerce for another hit but guaranteed to crossover. As a result, this smells like a delicious flame needing no lighter. Just my opinion but I am sure most will love this song like none other Janet single in years. Immediately, “Do your dance / Make it work.”
