Gwen Stefani is in another zone on the electric hip-hop second single “Spark The Fire,” from untitled third solo studio album expected for release in the first quarter of 2015. On tap for the producer credit longtime friend and collaborator, Pharrell Williams brings out the creative genius in Gwen, securing her place back into the music industry with some meaty material!

Rapping and flowing like a fighter in for the last round ready to push musically, and confidently accomplishes that. The queen of pop is reigning supreme giving material reminiscent of Love Angel Music Baby but with more of a hip-hop swing. Even the hook is mesmerizing, “Hey, get off my classic, Hey, get off my style, stay above the crowd or make your way back down.” Last time the world remembers a hook this unique from Stefani is her 2004 pop smash “What You Waiting For.”

Production within the song is full of hip hop elements including the 808 beat mixed with bells ringing elevating the energy incredibly. It will be hard not to move to this in the club. One thing for sure Pharrell used a similar production on “Give It To Me,” the second single from Hard Candy, Madonna’s 2008 album. Nevertheless, it still is a wonderful way to ring in the new year. Emerging from hibernation is a newer, fresher more modern Stefani for this generation.

Gwen Stefani is back in her creative space lyrically, “Omg, Omg I’m back again original feel good is what i defend, I’m believer, no don’t I don’t pretend.” Such a good thing to see the thunder in going after her crown from all the many imitators in the music business. Her voice here is full of creative spark, matched with exceptional flow, creating magic.

The energy is magnetic on “Spark The Fire” that makes one wonder why the label picked, “Baby Don’t Lie,” as the first single. Furthermore, one of the most instant hooks of 2014 is here on the second single. Gwen Stefani sounds ready to take over 2015. Now one question, “Who Got the lighter?, Let’s spark the fire.”
