Single Review: Omarion ft/ Chris Brown & Jhene Aiko- “Post To Be”

Omarion recruits Chris Brown and Jhene Aiko for his follow-up single to “Icebox.” “Pose To Be” sounds dated and not even remotely original, but it will get the job done. DJ Mustard is becoming entirely yawn with his production value. Someone needs to buy DJ Mustard a new drum kit for Christmas. Jhene Aiko and Chris sound like they are having more fun on the track than say, Omarion. Listen closely, and you will here the same production on Chris Brown’s latest album X on a song titled,“Came To Do.”

After such a long time away from the music game, Omarion could have come back a tad more original if he really wants to make an impact. Money bragging exists of course and taking another man’s girl is the topic.Production and writing are bland to the highest degree, “getting money like im post to be.” It sounds too much like any other young r&b artist out currently on urban radio. Additionally, sounding familiar and predictable seems to be a trend at radio stations. Nothing new or fresh just a rehash of other songs. Omarion is a ghost for the most part on his record, and that is never a good sign for an artist.

Essentially, it is imperative the choreography for this music video be fun and bright. Once the video, elevates the song, I can see this song taking Omarion to a Top 20 on the Billboards minimum. It is already radio friendly. A future in mainstream is entirely dependent upon the music video’s choreography.

Jhene Aiko provides the highlighted line in the record,” he gotta eat the booty like groceries.” This is funniest, and most upbeat record Jhene Aiko has appeared on since her mixtape. I am sure listeners would have thought that three artists of their caliber being on the same record would have come much harder than this. It is tailored to fit in the mold on radio so no issues for becoming a nice sized hit. Just my opinion though. I am sure most will like it. Now listen to the track like you are “Post To Be.”

Grade: 75= C

  1. I’m really impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your weblog.

Is this a paid theme or did you customize it yourself?
Either way keep up the excellent quality writing, it is rare
to see a nice blog like this one these days.
